History
1972: Joseph Nizet sets up an electrical installation business as a natural person.
1977: He founds the limited liability company SPRL J. NIZET, realising electrical installations,
installation of LV switchboards and HV cabinets.
1978: SPRL J. NIZET moves to the new Louvain-la-Neuve science park and thus takes the opportunity
presented by the creation of the Université catholique de Louvain (U.C.L.).
With the creation of a new 'village', Nizet is able to expand its experience.
The company builds up solid references and employs around thirty workers.
1987: The company obtains new approvals: P1 class 6, P2 class 4, S1 class 4.
* P1: Electrical installations in buildings
* P2: Electrical and electromechanical installations for engineering or industrial structures
and outdoor electrical installations.
* S1: Telephony equipment.
1989: The company adopts the status of an SA (public limited liability company).
1991: Within the CFE Group, Nizet finds financial backing and management support allowing
it to achieve progressive and continuous growth in its traditional market.
1992: The company adopts a new name: Nizet Entreprise S.A.
The company obtains the class 8, sub-category P1 approval, providing it with access
to the most important public tenders.
1998: The company realises an annual turnover of more than € 15 million.
New approvals obtained: L2 class 4 and C6 class 1
* L2: Pumping station or turbine equipment
* C6: Laying electrical cables in trenches
2004: The VCA certificate is obtained (Safety Checklist for Contractors)
2005: Nizet Entreprise installs the new lighting for the Brussels Atomium.
2008: The contractor sets up a new department in order to cover the activities
associated with renewable energy.
2009: Nizet Entreprise realises an annual turnover of more than € 40 million.
New approvals obtained: S2 class 4 and D4 class 1
* S2: Remote control, telecontrol and telemetry equipment
* D4: Acoustic or thermal insulation, lightweight partitions, ...
Upgrade to class 7 for L2: Pumping station or turbine equipment
The company employs 171 workers and 73 office workers.
